Music - The Narrow Way, Pink Floyd

"The Narrow Way" is a section on the studio half of Pink Floyd's fourth album Ummagumma. It was written and performed by David Gilmour and is divided into three parts. The only musician to feature is the composer (in this case, Gilmour), who recorded the song using multiple overdubs to play all the instruments himself.
Part one of the song was called "Baby Blue Shuffle in D minor".
Part two features an electric guitar and percussion which modulate heavily at the end, forming a drone that leads into part three.
Part three of the song features Gilmour's only vocal contribution to the studio part of the album.

Music - Il cielo in una stanza – Mina

In this song we can see how the lyrics can give a sense of wide giving new scenery.

"Quando sei qui con me
questa stanza non ha più pareti
ma alberi,
alberi infiniti
quando sei qui vicino a me
questo soffitto viola
no, non esiste più.
Io vedo il cielo sopra noi
che restiamo qui
abbandonati
come se non ci fosse più
niente, più niente al mondo.
Suona un'armonica
mi sembra un organo
che vibra per te e per me
su nell'immensità del cielo.
Per te, per me:
nel cielo".

Music - I Giardini di Marzo, Lucio Battisti

In this song we can see how the lyrics can give a sense of wide giving new scenery.

"Che anno è, che giorno è
questo è il tempo di vivere con te
le mie mani come vedi non tremano più
e ho nell' anima in fondo all' anima
cieli immensi, e immenso amore
e poi ancora ancora amore amor per te
fiumi azzurri e colline e praterie
dove corrono dolcissime le mie malinconie
l' universo trova spazio dentro me
ma il coraggio di vivere quello ancora non c'è".

Art - Corner (Günther Uecker, 1968)

Günther Uecker, also known as Guenther Uecker, (born 13 March 1930) is a German sculptor, op artist and installation artist.
In this work, he want to express his own connection with the space:
“My body plays an important role in the proportions of my work. The movements of my feet, the curve of the body, and the outstreched arms…are choreographic signs that fill a picture planes”.
This shows how the importance of the connection between us and all the space where we live, we pass, we see.

Art - The Gentle Prisoner ( Rebecca Horn 1978)

Rebecca Horn (24 March 1944, Michelstadt, Hesse) is a German installation artist most famous for her body modifications.
The Gentle Prisoner (1978) consisted of two large ‘fans’ of peacock feathers that opened and closed. This work gives either a sense of  breather when the fans of peacock feathers opend, or a sense of claustrophobia whenw they closed.

Art - Studio Azzurro

Studio Azzurro is an international group that use the new media. The artistic research is expressed by the new technologies producing  videoart, videoamibiente.
In their first work they use above all the television. This media reduces reality in the small screen, giving a narrow vision of what is happening. In their video, all the characters  play their game in different way: in one case characters fight to exit from this narrow space (as you can see in the video below), but they can’t broke the barrier.

In other case, they can overcam the barrier, broken the canonic space of the screen extending themselves to a potential infinite, as you see in the video below “Il nuotatore” of 1984.
